@ruddie: haha.. sahreeee naman.. eh 3 teardrops lang tlga kasi yung pumatak.. anyway, uhm.. my interpretation about this is that there's beauty in death and surrender.. i like that part where Meteor realized that he's going nowhere but down.. so, he accepted that.. he smiled, arms spread wide and plunged..
it would've been more dramatic, though, if after he plunged, he faced the sky.. then, focused on what Meteor could see: the sky slowly blurring as he goes deeper into the ocean.. then fade to black..

There we go! That was tragic and beautiful at the same time.
@ruddie: for some reason, naiyak ako.. mga 3 teardrops.. :/
ReplyDeleteBilang na bilang, ah, Nate.
DeleteWalang sinabi si Nora Aunor :D
But seriously...I posted it because I thought everyone would have a different interpretation of it.
DeleteThe common denominator, so far, is sadness.

A glorious downfall. Beautiful. Thanks for sharing. :)
ReplyDeleteEven though I didn't foresee the ending - or precisely because I didn't - the short piece resonated with me.
DeleteGlad you liked it, Joms ;)
i was kinda expecting that the meteor would see the beauty of the coral reefs. but then i realized ...
ReplyDeleteone, a burning rock would definitely collapse/break/harden when put into water. and
two, an extended clip of this would make it look like some shitty-and-cheap Disney movie.
beautiful short animation. but also sad.
Exactly.
DeleteI was blindsided by the ending, but of course, in hindsight, how could it have ended any other way?
And yet...indeed, though it ended exactly as it should've, it doesn't make it any less sad.
which makes me wonder ... what kind of emotional state is Rudie right now. hehehe.
ReplyDeletehope you're ... ok.
I'm in a freefall like that meteor.
DeleteDid you catch that part where it's looking up at the skies where it came from and desperately trying to get back up?
That's the state I've been in of late.
you'll be fine soon *virtual hug*
Deleteang saya. halo-halong emosyon. salamat sa pagbahagi.
ReplyDeleteWalang anuman, Hustin.
DeleteSalamat din sa pagnood at pag-komento.
